Grand Tetons Buffalo Valley Webcam

Buffalo Valley is a wide, open agricultural valley on the east side of Grand Teton National Park, along US-26/287 between Moran Junction and Togwotee Pass. This camera gives you a look at the valley floor and the surrounding peaks, including the Tetons to the west and the Absaroka Range to the east.

Buffalo Valley is one of the most wildlife-rich corridors in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. I have seen bison, elk, moose, and bears in this valley, sometimes all in the same morning. This camera is your preview of what is happening out there before you drive through. In the winter the valley gets deep snow and the wildlife congregates on the lower ground. In the summer the wildflowers are extraordinary and the fishing on the Buffalo Fork of the Snake River is excellent.

Local tip: If this camera shows animals on the valley floor, slow down when you drive through. Buffalo Valley is a major wildlife corridor and animals cross the highway constantly. The speed limit is 45 mph but locals treat it as a suggestion when the wildlife is active.
