JHMR – Casper Chair Webcam
Casper Bowl is one of the most underrated intermediate runs at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The Casper Chair services a wide, open bowl that catches a lot of sun in the afternoon, making it a favorite for skiers who want groomed cruisers without the crowds of the main mountain.
I send first-timers to Casper Bowl when the rest of the mountain is too intimidating. This camera lets you see the snow conditions on the bowl and whether the chair is running. After a storm, Casper fills in beautifully and the lines are shorter than the tram or the gondola. In the spring, when the snow gets heavy and wet, this south-facing bowl is the first place to get slushy, so checking this feed saves you a miserable run.
Local tip: Casper Bowl is also where JHMR runs its adaptive ski program. If you see a group of adaptive skiers on the camera, give them plenty of room on the runs.
