42°F

Dave Hansen Whitewater has been running trips on the Snake River since 1967, making it one of the oldest whitewater outfitters in Wyoming. This camera looks out from their operation on the Snake River, giving you a live view of the water conditions and the activity level before you book a trip.

The Snake River through the Snake River Canyon is Class III whitewater, exciting enough to get your heart pumping, manageable enough for most families. I have floated this canyon hundreds of times and it never gets old. This camera shows you the current water levels and clarity. In the spring runoff the river runs high and fast. By late summer it drops and mellows. Check this feed to see what kind of day you are going to have on the water.

Local tip: Dave Hansen Whitewater runs both scenic floats on the upper Snake River and whitewater trips through the canyon. The canyon trip is about 8 miles and takes roughly 3 hours. Book in advance in July and August, they fill up fast on good weather days.
