Grand Targhee Summit PTZ Webcam

30°F

The Grand Targhee Summit PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera sits at the top of Fred's Mountain at 10,200 feet and can sweep across the entire landscape. On a clear day you can see the back side of the Teton Range, the Snake River Plain stretching into Idaho, and the distant peaks of the Centennial Range.

This is the camera that shows you what Targhee's famous "Tetons from the back" view looks like right now. The west-facing summit gets a completely different perspective on the range than anything you see from Jackson. In the winter this camera shows you the upper mountain snow conditions and visibility. In the summer it is the best way to check if the summit hiking is clear before you make the drive up.

Local tip: The view from Fred's Mountain summit is one of the most underrated panoramas in the Greater Yellowstone region. If this camera shows clear skies, the tram or chairlift ride to the top is worth it even if you are not skiing.
