Lost Creek Ranch and Spa sits on a bluff above the Snake River in Moose, Wyoming, just outside the eastern boundary of Grand Teton National Park and roughly 20 miles north of Jackson. The camera looks west across the ranch toward the full sweep of the Teton Range, with Mount Moran's flat-topped block right of centre and the Grand Teton group to the left, which gives you a park-adjacent read on the peaks without standing at Schwabacher Landing with everyone else.
The foreground is the working end of the ranch: the main corral, usually holding several dozen horses, with the irrigated pasture and hay meadows behind it and open sagebrush flats running north toward the river. Early morning and late afternoon are the times to watch, when the wranglers move the herd in and out for the day's rides. It is a live view of an actual dude ranch operation, not just a static scenery cam.
This is a feed I check before driving north early. Moose sits far enough up the valley that its weather is often not the weather in town, and cloud can be sitting on the range here while Jackson looks perfectly clear. In summer it tells you how much haze or wildfire smoke is in the valley before you commit to the drive. In winter it gives you a read on snow depth on the valley floor and whether the peaks are actually out or buried.
