JHMR – Summit – Pano Cam Webcam
The Summit Panoramic Camera at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort sits at the top of the tram at 10,450 feet and sweeps a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape. On a clear day you can see the Grand Teton, the Snake River Valley, the Gros Ventre Wilderness, and on the clearest days, the faint outline of the Wind River Range to the southeast.
This is the camera I use to check upper mountain visibility before a big ski day. If the pano cam shows clear blue sky and sharp mountain edges, the tram is worth the wait. If it shows a wall of grey cloud, the summit is socked in and you will be skiing blind above the treeline. In the summer this camera is equally useful for hikers planning the descent from Rendezvous Mountain.
Local tip: The best light on this camera is in the morning before the afternoon clouds build. Check it between 8 and 11 AM for the clearest views and the most useful conditions read.
