JHMR – Thunder Chair Webcam
Thunder Chair accesses the Thunder quad area at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, serving a mix of intermediate and advanced terrain on the eastern side of the mountain. This camera shows you the conditions on the runs below the chair and the activity level at the lift base.
Thunder is one of the less crowded lifts at JHMR, which makes it a good option when the main mountain is packed. I point intermediate skiers here on busy days because the runs are varied and the lines are shorter. After a storm the Thunder area holds powder longer than the more trafficked lifts because fewer people think to go there first.
Local tip: Thunder Chair connects to some excellent tree skiing on the eastern side of the mountain. If you are comfortable in the trees and want to find untracked snow an hour after a storm, this is where to look.
