Togwotee Mountain Lodge sits at 9,655 feet on the eastern rim of Jackson Hole, right on the Continental Divide along US-26/287. This area is the undisputed snowmobile capital of the region, with over 600 miles of groomed trails, and this camera is how you check the conditions up high before you make the drive.

You do not drive up Togwotee Pass without checking the weather first. In the winter I use this feed to see exactly how much fresh snow has fallen on the trails. If the camera shows deep powder and clear visibility, you load the sleds. In the summer this feed tells you if the high-elevation hiking trails are finally melted out or if afternoon storms are threatening the pass. Because it sits on the Continental Divide, the weather here dictates what you can and cannot do in the backcountry.

Local tip: Togwotee Pass gets more snow than almost anywhere else in Wyoming, over 400 inches in a good year. If this camera shows a fresh dump and blue skies, the snowmobiling up here is some of the best in North America. Book a guided trip through the lodge if you do not have your own sleds.
