Snow King Town View Jackson Hole Webcam

The Snow King Town View camera is mounted on the lower slopes of Snow King Mountain and looks out over the entire town of Jackson and the valley floor. It is one of the best overview cameras in the region, showing you the relationship between the town, the surrounding mountains, and the weather system moving through the valley.

I use this camera to get a big-picture read on the weather. If a storm is moving in from the west, you can see the clouds building over the Tetons before the snow reaches town. If it is clearing after a storm, this camera shows you the blue sky breaking through over the valley floor. It is also a great way to check the overall activity level in town, you can see the traffic on the main roads and get a sense of how busy the day is going to be.

Local tip: This camera is particularly useful in the fall when the aspen trees on the surrounding hillsides turn gold. If the camera shows peak color on the lower slopes of Snow King, the aspens in the Gros Ventre drainage and up Cache Creek are probably at peak too.
