The Tram Cam is pointed directly at the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram, the iconic red gondola that climbs 4,139 vertical feet from Teton Village to the summit of Rendezvous Mountain at 10,450 feet. This camera shows you whether the tram is running, how long the line is, and what the weather looks like at the base.

The tram line on a powder day is legendary. I have seen it stretch 45 minutes deep before the lifts even open. This camera tells you exactly what you are dealing with before you drive out to Teton Village. In the summer the tram runs for sightseers and hikers, and this feed is the quickest way to check if it is operating and how busy it is.

Local tip: The tram holds 100 people per ride. If the line on this camera looks manageable, go. If it looks like a holiday weekend at Disneyland, come back at 2 PM when the afternoon skiers are heading in for lunch.
