JHMR – Village Commons Webcam
The Village Commons camera looks out over the central gathering area of Teton Village, the resort community at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. This is the hub of activity, restaurants, shops, the tram base, and the après-ski scene all converge here.
I check this camera when I am trying to decide whether to head out to Teton Village for dinner or stay in town. If the commons looks busy and the lights are on, the village is alive. In the winter this area fills up with skiers coming off the mountain around 3 PM, and the energy is great. In the summer it is the starting point for the Teton Village hiking and biking trails.
Local tip: Teton Village is 12 miles from downtown Jackson. If this camera shows heavy snow or icy conditions, give yourself extra time for the drive out on Teton Village Road, especially at night.
